AR coatings for optical and technological glass components

FRANK OPTIC PRODUCTS® offers anti-reflection coatings for precision and laser optics for a variety of industrial applications as well as for the optical and technological glass components we produce.

Standard anti-reflection coatings for optical components

  • AR-VIS 450 - 750 nm T > 99 %, R ≤ 0,3 % (AUI=0°)
  • AR-NIR 720 - 1100 nm T > 99 %, R ≤ 0,3 % (AUI=0°)
  • AR-Diode800 - 940 nm T > 99 %, R ≤ 0,2 % (AUI=0°)
  • AR-YAG 1064 nm T > 99 %, R ≤ 0,2 % (AUI=0°)
  • Broadband antireflection coating on both sides for AR 800 - 1000 nm AR (low absoption BBAR)
  • Polarisation: s, p
  • Angle of incidence: AOI=0 - 20°
  • T ≥ 99,5 % / R ≤ 0,5 %
  • with an SiO2 layer (passivation)
  • Laser destruction threshold: > 500 W/cm2
  • other AR coatings (e. g. 2100 nm, 980 nm, 532 nm ) and specifications on request)

Resistant to wiping and scratching in compliance with MIL-C-48497, adhesive tape peel-off test in compliance with MIL-C-48497, incl. test report and transmission characteristics curve

AR coatings for optical fibre cables and laser light cable systems for VIS and IR

  • AR-FI-VIS 400 - 700 nm T > 99 %, R≤ 0,5 % (AUI =0°)
  • AR-FI-NIR 700 - 900 nm T > 99 %, R≤ 0,5 % (AUI =0°)
  • AR-FI-IR 1000 - 1700 nm T > 98 %, R≤ 0,5 % (AUI =0°)

Heat-protection and UV blocking filters for optical systems and lighting engineering

Thermal protection filter

To reduce thermal heating by IR light FRANK OPTIC PRODUCTS® offers IR blocking filters as heat-protection filters (IR < 5%) while retaining the complete spectrum (T > 90%) The IR share in the light radiation are blocked in this case without changing the chromatic properties of the light source.

UV-blocking filters

To reduce UV parts of the light while retaining complete spectra (T > 90%), delectric UV blocking filters (UV-transmission T < 2% at < 380 nm) are used. The UV parts in the light radiation are blocked in this case without changing the chromatic properties of the light source, while retaining the complete spectrum (T > 90 %).

Optically thin layers for precision and laser technology for all spectral ranges

Conversion filters and cold mirrors for optical and technical lighting systems

Conversion filters and lighting and cinema technology, life science

FRANK OPTIC PRODUCTS® provides a series of standard and customer-specific conversion filters for changing the colour temperature of light sources. The conversion filters it offers are characterised by high transmission, chromatic, mechanical and chemical stability and heat resistance up to 350 °C.

Standard conversion from artificial light to daylight

  • Conversion filter modifies the colour temperature of a light source from 3200 K to 5600 K
  • Conversion filter modifies the colour temperature of a light source from 3200 K to 6000 K

Standard conversion from daylight to artificial light

  • Conversion filter modifies the colour temperature of a light source from 5600 K to 3200 K

Cold mirrors

Customer-specific cold-light reflectors with a variety of coatings, which almost fully reflect the visible spectrum (R > 95%), while the colour temperature is being changed, are developed specifically for cold light sources to prevent illuminated objects from heating up.

The play of light and colour

Colour effect filter for architecture, object design and entertainment

FRANK OPTIC PRODUCTS® offers customer-specific, individual and innovative solutions for architectural purposes. It is thus possible to obtain any desired range of shades on a wide variety of glass, quartz glass and glass ceramic substrates of almost any geometry. The colour effect filters have excellent chromatic and mechanical stability, which is also maintained even under extreme ambient conditions.
