Diagnostics and therapy

We accomplish diagnostic and therapeutic options for the future right now!

Our company develops and produces components, systems and treatment techniques for treating different diseases and injuries – frequently together with therapists, surgeons and medical scientists all over the world – to cure and alleviate symptoms of disease and restore physical functions. We have made it our business to facilitate all new potential and, above all, visionary therapeutic options.

Photodynamic Therapy PDT

The medical fibre-optic probes developed by FRANK OPTIC PRODUCTS® for photodynamic laser therapy combined with photosensitizers are leading products worldwide, especially in dentistry. Building on the great success of our products in dentistry we also develop and produce fibre-optic irradiation systems for the general antimicrobial destruction of bacteria, for healing wounds and for therapeutic treatment in dermatology. In addition to this, state-of-the-art methods and systems for treating tumours and other changes of tissue are developed by means of PDT. FRANK OPTIC PRODUCTS® specialises in the production of high precision fibre probes which enable the therapist/ surgeon to carry out the laser treatment very selectively, avoiding any collateral damage.

Holistic view, bringing together all components relevant to the system

Combined with new active substances, PDT represents an innovative, minimally-invasive, method in the treatment of cancer with new-generation lasers and optimised fibre-optic medical probes, which enables the therapist to apply it successfully. Besides special fibre optics, together with our customers we also develop laser systems for this purpose which are geared to the respective active substances or photo sensitizers. The holistic view, the conflation of system-relevant components in the interaction with the external components for optimal activation of the photosensitizers in the tumour while taking into account the medical and surgical options for intervention, are what makes our products successful.

Our developments and products for PDT are to be found mainly in:

  • Pulmonology
  • Urology
  • Dermatology
  • ENT
  • Gastrology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Oncology

Laser fibres and irradiation systems for dermatology and aesthetic medicine

We manufacture customised fibre-optic irradiation and laser systems for dermatology and aesthetic medicine for the purpose of treating vascular lesions. All fibreoptic irradiation treatment systems are manufactured according to the respective medical indication.

Laser fibres for the treatment of venous disorders

FRANK OPTIC PRODUCTS® manufactures high quality laser fibres for treating venous disorders and for gentle laser therapy with diode lasers. The laser fibre is locked in the insertion set with an adapter attached to the fibre and protrudes approximately 2 cm out of it.

We develop and manufacture to meet individual, customer-specific needs
